Meditation of Dance - Sacred Dance
The desire to dance and, in doing so, to deepen one’s capacity for experience lies dormant within every person. Through dance, a person can give in to this inner urge, enriching their life by turning inward and strengthening their vitality. Dance is a way to express the rhythm of life.
Founded by Bernhard Wosien and further developed by his long-time collaborator Friedel Kloke-Eibl, "MEDITATION OF DANCE (SACRED DANCE)" points to a spiritual objective and unlocks the religious dimension of dance. With Meditation of Dance, a dance form has been created that embodies beauty, wisdom, and a third element: mindful togetherness.
The symbolism of the circle dances and mandalas choreographed by Friedel Kloke-Eibl is also reflected in the structure of the music accompanying the dance—in its meter, rhythm, and in both macro and micro forms.
The positional theory of classical ballet and "Méditation en croix" form the basis of the bodywork in the meditation of dance. Through practicing and dancing together, we intensify our inner and outer perception, our awareness of our bodies and space.

When one person dreams alone, it's just a dream.
When many people dream together, it marks the beginning of a new reality. Let’s make our dream come true.
Meditation through dance – Sacred Dance speaks to us holistically time and again. Music, dance, and silence have a harmonizing effect. From this, creativity and openness to community can develop within each of us.
The Dance Community is a forum for all those who are moved and inspired by the meditation of dance - Sacred Dance.
Our goal is to preserve and promote these dances and their philosophical foundations. To this end, we organize seminars and/or workshops in collaboration with the training institute. We also provide our members with a platform to connect with one another worldwide.
The content and background information of Sacred Dance can be found in the online magazine "Balance", which is published by the community.
The association "Dance Community Meditation of Dance - Sacred Dance" (formerly a professional association) was founded in 1996 as a non-profit organization. Everyone involved in it works on a voluntary basis.
Become a member and support us with your annual membership fee of 30 euros.
Logo
"Dance Community, Meditation Through Dance – Sacred Dance"
In 2015, it was decided to develop a new logo.
Friedel Kloke-Eibl suggested combining three symbols that were placed side by side. From these, Sjoerd de Vos beautifully created this new logo, which incorporates the triad of a circle, a triangle, and a square.
The THREE symbols make it clear that we are affiliated with the Mediation of Dance training institute.
CIRCLE (Symbol of the All-Encompassing) = Meditation of Dance (Training Institute, Friedel Kloke-Eibl)
TRIANGLE (symbol of communication) = Balance
Square ( symbol of order) =
Dance Community Meditation of Dance – Sacred Dance
The Board maintains contact with the members and represents their interests. It is elected every two years at the general meeting. The Board members work closely together and see themselves as a team. They typically come from different countries: Johanna Schilling, Mariëlle van Beek de Vos, Ulla Röber, Regina Keßler, Jeaneth de Witte, and Daniela Siegrist.
